We often think that rainy days are boring, especially when we’re travelling. Of course it is annoying but do you really go on holiday just for the weather?

Museo Piaggio "Giovanni Alberto Agnelli“ - Pontedera
The Piaggio Museum was found to preserve and enhance the value of an extraordinary historical record and its aim is to illustrate the history of the factory, and via this, the industrial and economic development of the Italian society. There are 3 groups on display: the Vespa, Gilera and Piaggio collections. Even children will appreciate it!
Museo delle navi - Pisa
A 1000 years history, made up of companies and sailors, routes and shipwrecks, navigation and life on board, and the history of the city of Pisa. 800 exhibits, divided into 8 thematic areas, displayed in the Medici Arsenals.
Palazzo Blu - Pisa
Located on the southern Lungarno in the heart of the historic city center, this ancient noble palace recently restored, is the center for temporary exhibitions and cultural activities. 1 to 2 exhibitions are held every year, usually very interesting and with appealing topics.
Certosa di Pisa - Calci
Just a few kilometres from Pisa: imposing Carthusian monastery, founded in 1366 and enlarged in the 17th century into a monumental Baroque complex; it was inhabited by monks until 1972 and is one of the largest monastic complexes in Italy.
Museo di storia naturale ( Natural History Museum) - Calci
The Natural History Museum of the University of Pisa is one of the oldest museums in the world and is located in the picturesque Certosa di Pisa. The museum has enriched its collections over the centuries and today has a heritage of enormous historical and scientific value. It was completely renovated and enlarged in 2018. A fantastic experience!
Museo Leonardiano da Vinci - Vinci
In Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, the former stronghold of the Counts Guidi, houses the "Museo Leonardiano" a small unique museum . You will find 100 models and drawings of this universal geniuses which are exhibited here. Leonardo da Vinci designed not only flying machines, but also deals with the bike and with efficient instruments of war. The Museum is a perfect opportunity to stimulate the curiosity of your children, always looking for new experiences. In the museum you can admire over 40 machines reproduced by the major engineering projects of Leonardo. These machines are life-size, interactive and fully functional!
